The Night Before Christmas

Every year the neighborhood gathers outside our door (right outside the woods), sings Christmas carols, and Santa comes out of the woods and brings the kids presents. This year it was raining..but we got a brief break in the rain for the actual event, but it was still rather wet and cold. However, Julianna was SO excited. She had laid out her Jingle Bells for singing and coat and mittens about 2 hours before the event, and was keeping "santa watch" out the window. Rob was outside handing out programs, and JC and Nate and I joined him at the last minute. Julianna was a great big sister...and even got Nate's present from Santa for him since he was too little to get it himself.
Here are some pictures of Julianna outside getting her present from Santa, as well as opening the presents back inside. Julianna got a Cinderella doll that you can take the clothes off and on. (Of course her first question was, "Momma, where is the prince, fairygodmother and stepsisters?) She is having a great time changing the clothes, telling us all about each outfit (Momma, this is the wedding dress for when Cinderella marries the Prince), and (Ma Dadddy, this is the dress that the mice make for Cinderella, but then the stepsister break it, and here is the blue one that the fairy godmother makes her). Julianna has started calling Rob "Ma Daddy" presumably a version of "my daddy" but it is super cute.
